The uncontrolled taxi madly swerved in and out of its lane, as the driver kept his eyes fixed on the inside rear-view mirror, and his gaze was drowned in the odd casts of the passenger sitting on the back seat.
His reckless driving freaked Michelle out, making her afraid that they would frontally bump into something soon, and she would get real casts in addition to the fake ones.
Disturbed by the unwished attention, she asked: ‘Haven't you ever seen casts like these before?’

It was a very unassuming morning, a regular Tuesday for most people. But it wasn’t a regular Tuesday for me. I had been fired from the coffee shop. With nothing significant achieved in the time since I finished my degree, and at best getting reactions on the resume I sent on Monday next week, I was in a sort of limbo. It was the middle of June, people were at work, the streets were quiet besides a few old people and some work vans, and here I was having nothing to do. I had no business being anywhere really, but sitting at home didn’t feel good. Free time isn’t everything, and after a day of browsing social media with daytime TV in the background, I was bored of staying at home and waiting for a response from the few companies that took applications of people with such useless degrees as me. So, I went out into the wider world with hope and a vague suggestion a friend once made. It was a few months since I last saw her, but I met her almost a year ago. Strangely I remember it vividly
